Arab and Jewish. ropresuntatives told the United Nations Trusteeship Council tonight that they were prepared to send telegrams to their or- gonisations in Palestine recommending immediate cease-fire inside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.

Lancashire cotton trade and trade union leaders today. urged, Government to tako, action on the report of the recent-- Anglo- United_States_textile...canference, which-recommended restricting the Japanese textile industry to 3,500,000 spindler.
