In
Paris, Mar. 27. Nineteen passengers in a British plane which crash- ed in Corsica early today were killed, it was reported by Agence Franco Presso, the Fronch nows agency, from Ajaccio, Corsica, tonight. The plane, which had come from New Delhi, struck the eastern slopes of Mont Cardo at a height of 6,000 feet. In Paris, it was learned that there were 15 passengers and four crew in the machine and that all had died. The aircraft left Rome at 5.30 a.m. Mont Cardo is in Central Corsica.
The aircraft, belonging to tha Indian National Airways, left New Delhi on March 21, and had stopped at Rome, on its way to London.
Major W. Follett Routley, the British Consul-General in Ajne- ein, told Reuter tonight that the plane was lying in heavy snow on the mountain top.
