WHY AMERICAN TROOPS DID
Resolution Generals Ask. Against
NOT LIBERATE PRAGUE SOVIET TWISTING OF THE FACTS
Washington, Feb. 29.
The American Government may publish secret documents revealing that it was at Russia's request that American troops failed to aid in the liberation of Prague. Communists in Czecho-Slovakia have pointed out that when Prague was in the throes of liberation in May, 1945, United States troops, then only 50 miles away, did not come to the aid of the capital. The Czechs regard the Russians as their liberators and the secrecy about the alleged arrange- ments has meant that no answer was given to the charge that American troops failed to give any real help in the fighting.
Responsilie diplomatie quarters augue that this charge is a diplomatic twist of the facts and that it ha prompted the U.S. Stave and War De partments tes consister ripping the "senters" falls off the Bles.
The documents would add another chapter

Surprise Move In Corfu Debate
The Hague, Feb. 29.
