At yesterday's continued "hearing of the case in

which William Elijah Allen, Man Kam-fat and Chul Hong are standing trial before Mr. Justice E. H. Williams (Chief Justice), at. the Criminal Sessions,

of the 25 counts of alleged conspiracy to obtain bribes and accepting bribes against the ac- cused, were "adjourned." This will leave only 18 counts on which the present jury will be required to return a verdict.

Mr. A. Lonsdale, assisted by Mr. F.F.W. Shaftain, Senior Supt, of Police and Det. Insp. J. Johnston, is entheting the case for the prosecution.

Defendant was searched by D. Moraison and in his right trousers pocket were found six $10 and two 36 notes foldet together, and three $1 and eight $10 notes folled separately.
