Nanking, Dec. 2. Tightening Government · control over financial transactions in an effort to slow China's infla- tion, the Executive Yuan today authorised the Ministry of Finance to establish a "bureau of financial control” with almost dictatorial powers over the nations trade.
The bureau will commence operations immediate- ly from offices in Shanghai, Tientsin, Canton and Hankow, a Yuan spokesman said, while its influence will be extended over other areas "as it becomes necessary."
