Mystery Flight Of 7 U.S. Aircraft.

FLEET OF SHIPS FROM CUBA?

Washington, Aug. 2.

The mystery of a reported invasion threat to the Dominican island republic in the Carribean deepened tonight with the United States State Department's disclosure that seven former United States air force fighters which disap- peared in Florida were heading for a "foreign country."

While Government officials were anxiously trying

to check up on the fighters, an alert went out to stop the planes if they had not left the country.

Meanwhile, the Dominican Repub'ie's Ambasador In Washington, Senor Jullo Ortego Frier, who first declared an "in- Yusion" was being planned from Cuba_and_next said that an Invasion feat left Cuba on Thursday night, today said that he did not know anything about the planes or the latest move- ments of the ships. p
