Hong Kong Win The Topsy-Turvy Soccer No More
Interport
Combining effectively and dictating matters to a great extent, Hong Kong established a firm three-goal half-time lead in their interport game with Macao at Causeway Bay yesterday yet they were finally fortunate to win 3-2. Had they lost the game, Hong Kong would have had only themselves to blame, though full credit must be given to Macao for a com- mendable recovery at a time when it appeared that it would only be a matter of how many goals the home port could score.
Recent rain had made the ground very slippery and, although the damper portions had been sprinkled with sawdust, it was obvious that the conditions underfoot would play a big part in the match. For many Servicemen in the au- dience, it was an opportunity to see how the Chinese and Portuguese players fare on the muddy rain-soaked grounds so familiar back home.

Macao's Future Is Not At Issue
Shanghal, Mar. 9.
"I am not able at this date to say what will be the future of Portuguese Macao, but I do not be- lleve that there is any question of issue in this connection. To my mind nothing has occurred even to bring Maaco within the sphere of in- ternational consideration."
The new Portuguese Minister to China, Doctor, Joad de Barros Ferreira de Fonseca, declared here today, in the course of which he also said that Portuguese India would not be affected by the British withdrawal from British India before June next year. There was no aimilarity" be- tween the two questions and | the Portuguese Indians of Goa had expressed no wish to secede from the Portuguese the Minister declared.
