The Commons tonight approved Government's de- cision to withdraw" from India by June, 1948. The Government motion to approve the decision was carried after the Commons re- jected 337-185 the Opposition amendinent charging that fixing of an arbitrary date for withdrawal prejudiced any real settlement of the Indian problem.
