FUTURE UNIVERSITY

Important Plans Under Discussion

A very strong and influential coinmittee appoint- ed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies, after careful discussion of the future of the University of Hong Kong, made proposals of wide scope for extension and development and these proposals are now being considered by His Majesty's Government in Great Britain. At the same, time, it was neces- sary that provision should be made for the further education of young people who had completed their work in schools, as well as to provide finishing courses for students, who had pursued their medical studies in China during the war.
