Britain's Case Against Albania
CORFU MINES

On their left was an uncleared German minefield and, he said, it was normal for all shipping to keep close to the Albanian shore, where the water was deep and safe.

Govt. Surprised By Ranchi Figures
A list of passengers said to be on board the 8.s. "Ranchi," which is due to arrive on February ..25 is as under. The list has been forwarded from. the United Kingdom as the names of passen- gers actually boarding the ship, but the Hong.. Kong Government cannot give any guarantee as to its accuracy.
By a provisional passenger list previously received, the number of Civil Servants and Commercial arrivals was forecast at forty-six In place of the now reparted 138. The difference in these figures has riven rise to grave doubt as to whether accommodation is likely to be found for the arrivals..
In order to assist the quarter- ing Authority in avalding posalbi duplication of accommodation, ru Intives or friends of passengers who may already have arranged privately for accommodation for any of the expected arrivals are asked to communicate as early as possible with Mr. P.J.F. Eardley, Telephone 39211 Room 208. Ho Kong & Shanghal Bank Building. Owing to the unexpected change that accommodation which
may be provided through official chan- nela is likely to be on a very austers basis.
