TRUMAN'S REPORT ON UNITED NATIONS

Washington, Feb. §. President Truman toki Cyngress that the United Nations has made "great progress” in the past year, but that the world's hopes for peace can yet "be betrayed and lost.”

"The difficulties and dangers that lie before us are many and serious" the President said in a letter, transmitted to both the Senate and House which contained a report on the United States' activities in the world organisation during 1946,
