Canton Insurance Annual Meeting

A combined surplus of nearly $8,000,000 on the Company's workings for the years 1940-1944 was announced by Mr. F. A. Pollock, presiding at yesterday's first post-war shareholders an- nual meeting of the Canton Insurance Office Ltd., held in the Board Room of the General Agents, Messrs. Jardine Matheson & Co, Ltd. A final dividend of $5 a share for 1940, and dividends of $10 each for the years 1941-1944, a total of $45 per share in all, was declared.
