CHINA UNDERWRITERS
ANNUAL
MEETING
The first post-war meeting of shareholders of China Underwriters Ltd was held yesterday, at the Company's office at 4a Des Voeux Road C. presided over by Mr. H. J. Armstrong, Chairman of Directors,
Owing to loss of books and records, it was not possible to present revenue accounts and a Balance Sheet, but only a Statement of Affairs setting out the Company's position on Dec. 31,
1945.
Mr. Armstrong was able to an- nounce, however, that the assets of the Company are practically intact, that no capital loss has been sustained, that the Company has resumed business in nearly
its pre-war fields, and pros- pects ahead are bright.
