MR. HARRISON FORMAN WANTS TO KNOW WHY

San Francisco, Oct. 22. Lecturer Harrison Forman disclosed today that he had walked out on the concluding sessions of the "national conference on China and the Far East" and said an investigation "of possible hidden motives" of the conference was im- perative. Forman did not say what sort of in- vestigation.

The Postmaster-General has now. received confirmation from Air Headquarters that some of the mail due to have left Hook Kong by the Dakota plane which crashed at Kowloon Tong on Sept. 26, was off-loaded before the aircraft took off. The mail off- loaded was for Rangoon, Delhi, Calcutta, Caim and Johannesburg. It was sent forward by the next available plane.

The Postmaster-General also announces that as the B.O.A.C. lyingboat from Singapore is now not due until today, mail closing times for United Kingdom letters have been put back until 2.30 p.m. today for registered mail and 3 p.m., for ordinary air mail.
