Mr. Taun In evidence stated that she was married in Decem- ber 1941. During the Japanese occupation her husband was in- torned, and she had borrowed several hundred dollars to pur- chase goods for him while he was in camp.

Later, her husband was trans- ferred to Japan, and she re- ceived a letter from him every week. After the liberation 'she applied through the Red Cros Society and discovered that he was in England.
