ABCD ENCIRCLEMENT BOGEY Bellicose Broadcast In Japan Army Sentiments In Contrast With Konoye Caution
A HIGHLY BELLICOSE SPEECH on the alleged encirclement of Japan by the ABCD front was broadcast throughout Japan yester- day by Colonel Hayao Mabuchi, in an "East Asia Day" programme.
Colonel Mabuchi is the Japanese Army press chief and his "death struggle" broad- cast is sharply contrasted with the cautious tones of the military leaders in Tokyo.
