V.R.C. Athletic Prospects: An All-H.K. Meet

THINGS ARE CERTAINLY MOVING FAST AT VICTORIA RECREATION CLUB THIS YEAR. THEY HAVE JUST HELD THE FIRST INTER-SCHOOLS' SWIMMING GALA TO BE SPONSORED BY ANY CLUB IN THE COLONY, AND THEY ARE NOW IN THE MIDDLE OF ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE ANNUAL COLONY SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Over and above this there has been a great deal of talk, and action, incidentally, regarding the drawing up of the programme for the Win- ter, and in this connection A. A. Noronha, the man behind the scenes in all arrangements for aquatic activities, has already called more than one informal meeting in connection with the pro- posed revival of athletics at the club.

It will probably be readily recalled that, years ago, V.R.C. staged annual athletic meetings, these being invariably held on Hong Kong Football Club ground. Due to falling off in interest, and the consequent lack of support, however, they were discontinued.
