Britain's ship-repairing yards are breaking all re- cords for fast workman- ship, states the daily ship- ping newspaper “Lloyd's | List and Shipping Gazette."

The paper adds that week ships totalling more 1,100,000 tons were returned to been service after repairs had carried out.

Ship-builders are rushing out merchantmen

The Naval Correspondent of the "Daily Herald" says: "That news brings a touch of brightness to the sea picture, which disturbs all except the stupidly complacent. Ships lying damaged or idle in port are just as much out of the war as sunken ships.
