EXPORT SIDE OF RACING DISCUSSED

The export side of racing was mentioned in Parliament yester- day when Mr. Richard Rapier Stokes, Labour member Ipswich, asked the Home Secret- áry regarding the value attached by his Department to continuance of racing for the next six months, value of having regard to the bloodstock exported in an excep- tionally good year.

Mr. Herbert Morrison, in a writ- ten reply, referred Mr. Stokes to a speech of July 2 when information regarding exports was given. The value of bloodstock depended on the test of actual racing, Mr. Morrison, but Mr. would appreciate that it was not feasible to make a precise estimate
