Swift Completion Of His Task Predicted

Armed Forces Show Readiness To Cooperate

PRINCE KONOYE, THE OUTGOING PREMIER, WHO HAS ACCEPTED THE IMPERIAL COMMAND TO ORGANISE A NEW CABINET, HAS ALREADY RECEIVED A PLEDGE OF COOPERA- TION FROM THE WAR AND NAVY MINISTERS.

Senior statesmen met in Tokyo yesterday afternoon to choose a candidate for the Premiership, and Marquis Koichi Kido, Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal, went to the Imperial Palace to report their decision to the Emperor, who with the Empress, had only returned from his country villa 25 minutes earlier.
