PO LEUNG KUK COMMITTEE AT GOVERNMENT HOUSE

HIS EXCELLENCY the Governor, Sir Geoffry Northcote, to-day received the Committee of the Po Leung Kuk at Government House, when the Report of the Kuk on the work of the year 1940-41 was pre- sented by the Chairman, Mr. T. F. Lo.

Addressing the Committee afterwards, H.E. said:

The report is so modestly phrus- BRAVERY

The year 1940-41 has been a year of important progress for the 'o Leung Kuk and I warmly

I was very much Interested to hear of the new industries which the out-going Committee have been able to start for the mates of the Kuk, and I was made very happy by hearing of the establishment of the kinder- garten and the childrens' nursing ward which have come into be- ing during the last twelve months. They have been, I know, already a great boon to the Kuk and will continue to be so,
