TO M.P.S.

Street yesterday, the Prime Minister received PREMIER'S PLEDGE the "Torch of Victory," emblem of Canada's Victory War Loan which, after travelling across the Dominion, has now been flown to England by a Bomber 'plane.

He also presented a scroll sign- ed by the Governor-General of Canada, the Earl of Athlone, the Prime Minister of Canada, Mr. Mackenzie King, the Premiers of nine Canadian provinces and by other distinguished citizens who took part in the war loan cam- paign, pledging Canada's journey to the end of the road, no mat- ter how long and toilsome,

He also gave the Prime Minis- ter a letter from the chairman of the C adion War Loan Commit-

Mr. Winston Churchill, in acknowledging the gifts, said:
