RAIN, RAIN`AND STILL MORE RAIN CAUSED A FURTHER POSTPONEMENT OF THE LAWN BOWLS LEAGUE PROGRAMME LAST SATURDAY, THOUGH STRANGELY ENOUGH HONG KONG FOOTBALL CLUB AND CRAIGENGOWER MANAGED TO PLAY OFF THEIR THIRD DIVISION MATCH, THE LATTER WINNING ON ALL RINKS TO TAKE THE LEADERSHIP OF THIS DIVISION.

Better conditions during the last few days have permitted some Colony Pairs Champion- ship games to be played, but it is not easy to follow these around, as competitors, after so many postponements and disappointments, are naturally making their own arrangements in an effort to get the First Round finished. One match of which I heard was played at the seventh time of asking!

There was little of outstanding interest in the League game to which I have referred as the visitors were always comfortably in front, having gained a lead of some 15 shots by the time the fifth end was finished and thereafter holding on to this. match has been pretty well covered already, so I do not propose to dwell on it save to record the seven scored by W. E. Broadbridge, F. K. Modi, G. S. Ladd and D. A. Rosario.
