MENZIES' WARNING HINDUS

TO U.S.--"ALL OUT OR PERISH"

AFTER CONFERRING with President Roose- velt at the White House for more than an hour, Robert Gordon Menzies, Prime Minister of Austra- lia, made a moving appeal for increased American aid against the Axis.

The Prime Minister, who was on his way home after conferring with Winston Churchill, made a speech before the National Press Club.

This kind of war is no part- tung business," he said. "This kind of war is not to be Won without 100 per cent. of the war- like strength and activity of the people who wish it to be won in a certain way."

Condemnation was voiced for "the calculators" who advocate the "cautious" way of employing nly 10 or 20 per cent. of the income of a country. Machine power, he said, and not power will decide the war.
