All but one of the opening Open Rinks despite matches down for yesterday were played the poor weather the previous day and all results were very much as expected, the champion_rink, skipped by C. S. Rosselet, had an easy passage against Ward's rink, and Omar's strong rink emerged successfully from its test against F. S Silva's Recreio rink
