Gerry Gosano Credited With Year's Pitching Gem

BEFORA. WE LOWER the curtain on the most successful Softball season, and usher in King Base- ball, let us recall some of the hair-breadth plays and split-second masterpieces that have combined to give us a most enjoyable season, and although play- ers and spectators alike have had occasions to hurl fiery barbs at each other, this corner is convinced that venom was never in their hearts. Yessirree, it's been great fun.

Of all the pitching performances, Recreio's ace- hurler Gerry Gosano's clutch pitching in their game with the Cyclones, in which the latter were nosed cut by the only run in the tilt, stands out above all other chucking accomplishments during the year.
