If special Welsh squads formed they will be under the supervision of Welsh-speaking of Acers.
A large percentage of Welsh- calls-up miners. men in recent farm workers and labourers--have been taken for training in A.A. infantry units and mobile column units.
Lessons In English?
A number of these men who have been posted outside Wales, say that, even if they are not put in Welshspeaking squads, they would prefer to be among their own people, who can un- derstand them.
One suggestion made to meet this situation is that lessons in English should be given Welsh- speaking soldiers as part of their military training.
"There is only 73 very small percentage of Welshmen who cannot speak English,' a War Of- fice official said.
"No plans have yet been made but where there are a number of Welshmen posted together it likely they would be formed into squads of their own."
