By "Rapier"
THE SECOND EXTRA race meeting, held on Saturday was well attended and, despite the fact that there were several upsets, racing on the whole was of a high standard.
Conditions were far from ideal, rain falling prior to the fifth race and coming down with a ven- geance on the seventh race.

SERVICE CORPS
HELD BY SOUTH CHINA
IN AN EXCITING AND well-contested Second Division football game, South China drew with Ser- vice Corps, when they shared two goals at Sookumpoo yesterday and as a result Service Corps are now as- sured of the runners-up position but can only hope for a play-off with Engineers for the title!
Engineers are now four points
in the lead and are to meet South China and Sing Tao.
The fact that South China and Service Corps are meeting in the Final of the Junior shield added to the interest of the game. and from the perforinatices of both teams yesterday the Final should be a hard fought game.
Both sides missed several good chances but the Chinese forwards showed better ball control and covered ground faster. They were badly in need of a shooting cen- tre forward us the inside men made many openings, which were spoiled by slowness.
Service Corps' forwards did not function as smoothly as usual, due the hard and fast tackling of Yu- and Chan Wong Shui-kee shing at back and Ho Lok-kee-
