SOLDIERS CUT 17 DIE LOVE IN UNIFORM

ALL THE NICE GIRLS love a soldier some of the A.TS. in a big northern command train- ing centre wish that more of the handsome soldiers would fall for the girls in uniform.

Sweethearts, both aged seventeen, were found dead lying side by side in a gas-filled room in Golf Road, Deal.

Too many separated husbands and wives are using the long-distance telephone services every night between London and other parts of the country.
The Postmaster-General has asked that the telephone should not be used during air raids except in cases of urgency.
It is being found, however, that wives evacuated from London and other raided areas seemingly can. not resist having a long sentimen- tal chat over the telephone with their husbands.
