Sore point was the action of the B.B.C. in banning a number of artistes who attended a recent conference styled the "People's Con- vention," attended by a large number of Communists.
Ground for the action was that the public would resent the inclu- slon of artistes who attend a gath- ering at which allegedly some sub- versive speeches were made.
As a result of the outery. Mr. A. Oufl-Cooper. Minister of In formation, recently induced the 0.B.C. to modify the ban, and yesterday Mr. Churchill, in the House of Commons, announced that the ban had been removed.
