KOWLOON CRICKET CLUB ARE NOW AL- MOST CERTAIN TO RETAIN THE SENIOR CRIC- KET CHAMPIONSHIP AS THE RESULT OF THEIR WIN OVER CLUB DE RECREIO ON SATURDAY.

This match was expected to produce a very high standard of cricket but, as it transpired, the weather was so bad that decent cricket was an impossibility and batsmen, bowlers and fielders all found the con- ditions difficult.

There was a stiff cross- wind blowing across the ground throughout and it was only when an old but heavy set of bails were dis- covered, that it was pos- sible to prevent the fre- quent interruptions that had occurred previously owing to the bails being blown off by the wind.

The outfield was very slow but the wicket greasy and the ball
