Hong Kong's Budget estimates for the year beginning April 1st, 1941, has been slashed by near. ly two million dollars as] the result of re-examina- tion by the Select Com- mittee of Legislative Council.
Although no precise details of the cuts are likely to be made avail- able until Thursday's Budget de- bate, they affect principally, the Harbour Department and works provided under the heading of Public Works Extraordinary.
