During a recent encounter with Messerschmidt 110 the sergeant pilot of a British bomber had to evade the enemy without knowing direction the attack from which was being made. The bomber had done its work, but while it was over its target anti-aircraft five had wrecked the intercommunica

ion system.

Normally the rear-gunner or the wireless operator can at once let the pilot know exactly what is going on, but now, as the pilot said:
