Oolong Wins Well Over Six Furlong Distance Big Fields Open Race Meeting

THREATENING WEATHER was respon- sible for the small attendance at the opening of the Hong Kong Jockey Club's annual meeting this morning and a much smaller crowd of Chinese lined the fence on the in- side of the racecourse than is usual.

Outstanding feature of the morning's events was the downfall of Lovelylight, the Derby favourite, which was beaten by Oolong in the six-furlong Maiden Stakes.
