Fresh assurances of the United States' "firm determination to continue assistance to Britain on an ever-increasing scale" were given by President Roosevelt to Lord Halifax, the British Ambassador, in formal exchanges which took place after Lord Halifax landed at Anna- polis, it is now revealed by the State Depart- ment.

The Department yesterday published the text of President Roosevelt's remarks to the British Ambassador when he presented his cre- dentials-on landing. Reuter.
