Three soldiers, John Lever, 21; Victor Branson, 24, and George Orme, 26; of the Middlesex Regi- ment, were sentenced to one month's imprisotament by Mr. E. Himsworth at Kowloon this morn- ing for fraudulently obtaining drinks and eigarettes to the value of $4.10 from the Kowlcon Hotel yesterday.
Sub-Inspector Johnson said that at 5 p.m. yesterday accused went to the Hotel and ordered three bottles of beer and three packages for of cigarettes. When asked payment, they refused and one of them was alleged, by the boy, to have adopted a threatening atti- tude.
Captain N. Marsh, on behalf of the military authorities, said that accused had a bad record and that 10 military punishment seemed have no effect on them.
