TWO GIRLS KILLED BY SAME
METHOD
A GIRL OF SEVENTEEN, found strangled in
a yard in the centre of Bolton, Lancs., at mid-night, PEERESS
is the second girl within a fortnight to have been
murdered in this way, and in each case a soldier of DIES

The Bolton girl was Minnie (Peggy) Stott, a grocery shop manageress, of Clarence Street, Bol- ton: the other girl was Mary Hogan, fifteen, of Wa- terloo, Liverpool, who was found strangled at the entrance to a blockhouse near her home.
