R.A.F. MAKES A MISTAKE

A telegram to the Swed ish Foreign Ministry from the Swedish Legation in London states that a minute inquiry by the competent British au- thorities gave reason to suppose that a British 'plane was responsible for bombs dropped off Hel- sing on October 29.

The British Government, added the telegram, has expressed its regrets at this involuntary viola- tion of neutrality, stressing that all possible steps have been taken to prevent a repetition.

Britain has also promised com- pensation for damage caused. Reuter.
