"If people must do this sort of thing, they should take care to extinguish the lights first, though they are still running a"grave risk of being Injured by flytning glace."
The official added: · "When win- dows are left open at night, the breeze is apt to blow black-out curtains out of position, causing chinks of light to show at the side and bottom.
"Householders should also guard against this."
