A Golliwog
You can knit this cuddly toy in an evening for a tiny's Christmas stocking
Any small child would be do lighted to find this cuddly golly- wog sticking out of the top of an exciting looking stocking on Christmas Day. He's quite easy to make, being designed in knitting; in fact, his little, woolly body could be made in an even- ing.

Then all there is to do is to stuff him firmly with cottonwool and sew him up.

Material required.--lóz. wool for pullover, 1oz. sky blue. for trousers, loz. dark blue for head, small quantity of white wool, 1 pair No. 10 Stratnoid knit- ting needles.
Red Pullover
BACK-Cast on 30 sts. in red wool and knit 51⁄2 in. in garter st.. Cast on 20 sts. at beginning of the next two rows for sleoves.
Knit 2in. Then cast off 7 sts. at beginning of next two rows, and 14 sts, at beginning of the 2 fol lowing rows. Knit one row, cast **off 28 sts.
FRONT-Cast on 6 sts, knit 1 row. At beginning of next row cast on 1st., next row knit. Repeat

They're all cases of "war-eyes," Nervous strain shows more quick- ly round the eyes than on any other part of the face.
If there's pain or serious in- flammation you should consult an oculist, of course. They might be caused by something more com- But plicated than "war" eyes." straightforward cases of this kind can be dealt with quite simply.
