BRITAIN CUTS INTO GERMAN COMMERCE IN TURKEY

THE BRITISH AND Turkish Governments have now concluded arrangements which they hope will bring about a considerable in- crease in trade through commercial ex- changes between Turkey and the British Empire.

During the validity of the arrangements provision is made that payments between Tur- key and the sterling area shall be effected at. the existing rate of exchange between ster- ling and the Turkish pound and that special accounts be created in order to facilitate.com- imercial and other payments between the two

countries.
