A PAGE FOR WOMEN
Dieting Requires Determination
When
a woman decides she must do something about slim- ming she was several recourses.
She can determine to eat less and exercise more. Ent some of all fouds but restrict the quan- tities.
She can adopt a fad diet which is an unwise thing to do. For fad diets may reduce one quickly, but they do not provide one with the necessary nourishment needed to carry on daily living. Hence,.. one's health may be endangered.
She can decide to cut out all sauces, all sugar (except what she gets in fruits and cooked foods), almost all butter and cream, al- cohol, rich desserts and sweets. Fatty meats and breads would also be excluded from her diet. That would limit her to vegetables and fruits, milk, some cheese, and- lean meats.
She can decide to go every day for massage, feeling massage is the most affortless way to reduce. But she does not realise that she must forever be massaged if she is to stay slim without exercising or extting down on her food in- Lake!
She can resort to reducing drugs rubbed on the body or added to baths. Or risk those which are taken internally. But I hope she would have more sense than to take this course. She might slim, yes, but she might die at a young age too, for most quick-reducing drugs are bound to be harmful, unless they are used under the di- rection of a physician who had a reason to reduce his patient very quickly.
