SAPPERS EASILY BEAT
ROYAL CORPS OF SIGNALS
By "Sportshawk"
Royal Corps of Signals were no match for Royal Engineers in a Hockey Association Tournament game played at Sookunpoo yesterday afternoon and they lost by four clear goals.
Signals, although they put up -4, - gallant fight in the rst period during which they only conceded ene goul, collapsed very badly 'on: the resumption, giving Sappers a free hand towards the end.
Though severely tested, Trus- cott, the 'keeper, played a brilli- ant game for the Signals, espec- ally in the first period, whereas Dobson had had an easy time between the sticks for the Sap- pers.
The losers were kept on the Mensive for the greater part of the play and their forwards dopted half-back tactics. The game was sometimes scrappy.
