The thickness of structure gives it density, and good normal work- ing glands ensure suppleness. Often on this type of complexion you'll find a fine covering of pro- tective down, which is an ideal base for that matt finish known as the velvet make-up.

This type of skin is outstanding for its smooth, richly-tinted surface, and adapts itself naturally to brilliant sun- shine. Under cheerless conditions it often becomes drab, and ill- health often leaves it coarsened and dried up. It takes kindly to olive oil and cold cream treat- ments. Careful grooming of eye- brows and hair enhances such complexions.

11⁄2 pint milk

1 tin sweetened milk

Roll out, the pastry to fit a fan ring, fl with crusts of bread and bake for twenty-five minutes in a hot oven until set and light brown. Remove from the oven, take out the crusts and allow to cool. Mix together the sweetened milk, le- mon rind and juice and the eggs. Pour the mixture into the pastry care and bake in the oven for a further fifteen minutes with the heat reduced. Remove the pic from the oven and allow to cool before serving. Pipe with fresh whipped cream.
