SPANISH ACTION AT TANGIER

Military Commander Takes Over "Full Charge"

Legislative Assembly "Dissolved"

Colonel Yuste, Commander of the Span- ish troops in the International Zone of Tan- gier, yesterday issued an order dissolving the Committee of Control and the Legislative Assembly and announcing that he is taking "full charge" of the Zone.

The taking over of Tangier by Spain is confirmed in British official circles in London and is receiving careful consideration.

LEGATION STAFFS LEAVING

The Greek Minister to Italy and his staff were】 due to leave for Greece last night, states a Rome message.

It is recalled that Spanish Mor- cccan troops occupied Tangier on June 14 by agreement with the International authorities.

Spain asserted the step was taken to preserve order and that the international status of the Zons would continue. The International Zone of Tan- gier came into being in' 1925 under an agreement between Bri- tain, France, Spain and Italy.

The agreement provided for a complete international . ad- ministration of the Zone, ex- cept as regards native affairs, which were reserved to Shereefian authority.

Awaiting Information

Since June 14 4his year International regime had functioning normally.
