Under extreme German pressure, the Yugoslavian Government has signed a protocol to the German/ Yugoslav trade agreement under which, in return for vague Nazi promises, Yugoslavia seems to be-- come economically and diplomatically dependant | on the Reich.
A clause providing for prefer- ential treatment for Yugoslavia by Germany is abolished, and the Germans merely promise the "full- est consideration” in price fixing. After the protocol was signed, the Yugoslav Foreign Minister said that nothing stands in the way of intènsifled political colla- boration between the two coun- tries.
This, he said, suits the interests of both parties. Reuter.
