Aging skin (and skin ages quickly after thirty) requires specific and intelligent care. Deep pore cleansing is of greatest im- portance, to begin with. It takes a quickly liquefying cleansing preparation for the oily skin, and more substantial cream mixture for the dry skin. Both should be followed by a washing with warm water and suds of a bland soap..
Next in order is an astringent. Here again you must purchase your aid with care-selecting a mild astringent, for the dry skin and one which is more firming to the oily skin. Some cosmeticians advise that the astringent be used after the cleansing cream, with no soap and water shampoo between. You may experiment with your own skin and follow the method it reacts to with the better result.

Some skins at forty-plus have excellent texture. They have either been well cared for during the past ten years, or the owner. has been blessed with very good health and few tribulations.
