Luftwaffe Concentrates On Night Raids

WHEN A YELLOW-NOSE Messerschmidt. 109 was shot down in the Isle of Wight yester- day afternoon, the Nazi pilot stopped a corn merchant's lorry and told the driver in good English to drive him to the nearest military centre. The driver promptly obliged.

The Air Ministry in London stated that in yesterday's activities, nine enemy aircraft were shot down by our fighters up to 4.30 p.m. Ten of our fighters are reported missing.
