COOK-BOY ROBS EMPLOYER
A cook-boy, employed by Mr. G. G. Cross, at No. 4, Cameron Roud, is reported to have abscond- ed with money and jewellery. In a report to the Police last night, Mr. Cross stated that after the "boy" had disappeared, he dis- covered that $270 in cash, and jewellery valued at $200, was missing.

THIEF CAUGHT
Lee Sang-ching, 20, was fined $20, or one month, by Mr. H. G. Sheldon, K.C., this morning, for stealing a pair of pliers belonging to Mr. M. E. Purvis, of the Sani- tary Department.
At 5:30 p.m. yesterday, he was seen in Tai Yuen Street trying to sell a pair of pliers. At the Police Station he admitted that he stole the pliers from a car parked in Wongneichung Road.
