LONDON HAD FOUR ALERTS UP TO ABOUT 5 O'CLOCK YES-- TERDAY AFTERNOON, THE FIRST BEING THE RESULT OF A GER- MAN BOMBER AND FIGHTER FORMATION NUMBERING 80 WHICH CROSSED THE KENT COAST AND AFTER FLYING A FEW MILES INLAND SPLIT INTO A NUMBER OF SMALL GROUPS.
